Being a veterinarian

By Dr. Amir Mikhail

I discovered that it's a very unique job to be a veterinarian, I understood that being a vet is a big responsibility in a highly ethical profession, the biggest part of our job - if not all - is humane, like any other medical field, where you are charged in a great deal of a soul and life, where you could be a great help for your patients or great disaster for them, I thought about it many times and told myself what a big responsibility I have here!!!!!!!

In our job we are not only dealing with silent patients, but with caring owners as well, who are feeling a huge responsibility to take care of their helpless pets, whom we should have the heart to understand and comfort them as well.

Unfortunately most of animal owners have lost their trust in vets, with every new client I face the barrier of mistrust and fear from vets, why don't we show integrity Vets, why don't we consider the health of our pets the highest priority, as we will give an account to God for that! and why don't we treat our patients owners with a wide heart, and respect to their emotions and worries!

In my practice I give time to my patients, and to relieve every owner as much as I can, In the limits of my job, to be faithful to the position I have.

As time passes over the years of my practice, I get more and more into understanding my animal patients, it's an increasing passion for them in my heart, and what a joy when I see my little patients playing around again!!!!!

Being a veterinarian is more than a job to do! it reflects your true heart! it's a very sensitive work, highly ethical with a great responsibility
